To mark the 40 years milestone, the firm invited its employees, partners and clients to an extraordinary celebration that was held on October 5th, to thank them for their support over the years. The evening, designed by Nicolas Fonseca (Mister Jaune) under the themes of architecture and materiality, was intended to offer guests a walking tour of interactive and gastronomic installations during which they had to interact.
Founded in 1979 by architects Alain Lemay and Viateur Michaud, the firm, which has been a visionary since its inception, has built a strong reputation in Quebec. Now present in Montreal, Quebec City and newly in Ottawa, the team knows how to create vibrant universes focused on the well-being of occupants. Whether it touches architecture, design or branding, ideas emerge to create coherent and creative concepts.
Listening and respect are the keys to the success of the firm, which to this day still works with many of the clients who have been present since its creation. It is these strong relationships that have marked LemayMichaud’s work and have enabled it to reach 40 years.
The firm now counts 13 partners and more than 100 professionals. The small office located on Saint-Jean Street in Quebec City has evolved well, always keeping the same objective: the creation of buildings and human experiences.
