Brasserie Les Mordus
Located on a busy street in Old Quebec, where tourists and locals enjoy wandering around, the Brasserie Les Mordus is established inside the city’s famous century-old hotel, the Clarendon, while having an independent entrance.
The restaurant offers a main dining room, a bar, a private lounge and terrace, all of which can seat up to 179 guests, ready to go to sea!
At Brasserie Les Mordus, the authenticity of the French bistro meets Quebec’s traditions. This combination creates a space that is both chic and welcoming, where noble materials such as marble and white washed wood meet warm materials, like the benches’ blue fabrics or the patterned ceramic. These new elements also blend in with the materials highlighting the historic character of the place, such as the superb terrazzo floor discovered under the old carpet or the already existing brick walls
The interior design concept is inspired by the sea and its universe and is showcased through several shades of blue and numerous decor elements. Mural installations around the restaurant add an unusual, fun and playful touch, reflecting the soul of the place.
LemayMichaud’s mandate was to create a concept for the architecture, interior design and branding which resulted in a very cohesive project.
