Club Med, the international leader in all-inclusive and high-end vacation experiences, and Le Massif de Charlevoix have announced on November 2nd the grand opening of the first resort in Canada. LemayMichaud has been awarded the mandate for the architecture and interior design of this project.
‘It is not often that an organization as important as the Club Med mandates both the architecture and the interior design to a single firm. We are truly honoured by the trust they are showing us.’’ says Jérome Henné, architect and partner at the LemayMichaud Quebec office.
Local Inspirations
In terms of architecture and design, both the inspirations and references to the local culture are significantly part of the project and the tourist experience will showcase Charlevoix and the Quebec area.
The hotel will be established on the side of the Massif de Charlevoix Mountain and the view from the hotel will be on the magnificent landscape and St-Lawrence River.
‘Our team is really motivated by the success of this project. We cannot wait to unveil our vision, one we hope will be seen and hear of internationally.’ says Alexi Lemay, architect and partner at the Quebec office.
