On December 13th, the entire LemayMichaud team gathered in Montreal for a day dedicated to celebrating the year’s achievements and recognizing our team. More than just a tradition, LemayMichaud Day is the perfect opportunity to come together, exchange ideas, and celebrate what is our greatest asset: our team.
This year, we chose to merge our traditional LemayMichaud Day with our annual Christmas party, creating a grand celebration that was both festive and inspiring. With the theme of Expo 67, we gathered to close out the year in a spirit of festivity, unity, and warmth, reflecting the essence of our firm.
Back to the Spirit of Expo 67
The theme of this year's event was Expo 67, a fitting choice for us, reflecting the company's achievements and future projects on this emblematic site.
The day began with a series of activities that enabled the entire team to get together and exchange ideas, far from the computers and projects of everyday life. In the heart of the Canada Pavilion, an emblem of Expo 67, the team attended a variety of presentations, from LM traditions to the history of Expo. A highlight was the visit od some of the Expo 67 remains, a reminder of the grand projects that defined this era and their influence on the architecture and design of today.
This day also provided the opportunity to welcome new members to the team and celebrate professional anniversaries, as well as the exceptional contributions of our employees. While several colleagues celebrated their 5, 10, and 15 years at LemayMichaud, a new category was introduced this year: "Noces de Béton," for our colleague Yvon, who celebrated 30 years with the firm.
The entire team then gathered for the traditional Christmas party, held this year in an iconic venue: Hôtel Germain Montréal. Designed by LemayMichaud, this hotel is directly inspired by the spirit of Expo 67 in both its interior design and graphic design, making it the perfect place to close this themed day.
Ending the Year on a High Note
LemayMichaud Day 2024 celebrated the end of a year marked by significant achievements, and showcased the talents and contributions of every team member.
